Key Worker

Venn Group are working with a supported housing provider in Lancaster to recruit a Key Worker on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. This role supports residents with complex needs, helping them move towards independence through structured support, risk management and 1‑to‑1 engagement.

What’s on Offer:

• Rate: £18–£19 per hour (Umbrella)
• Contract: 3‑Month Temp to Perm
• Hours: 37 hours per week
• Rota: 5‑week rolling rota
• Location: Lancaster
• Start: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Hold regular 1‑to‑1 meetings with residents to assess needs, progress and support requirements
• Develop and review support plans tailored to each resident’s goals and circumstances
• Carry out risk assessments and implement risk management strategies
• Support residents with daily living skills, helping them move towards independent living
• Assist with budgeting, finances and benefit queries
• Accompany residents to appointments, ensuring they are supported and prepared
• Maintain accurate case notes and update internal systems
• Work collaboratively with external agencies and internal teams to ensure holistic support

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Enhanced Adult DBS issued within the last 3 years (essential)
• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs (desirable)
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• Ability to remain calm, patient and professional in challenging situations
• Confident working independently and managing a varied caseload
• Passionate about helping vulnerable adults achieve independence
