For boohooMAN, social media sits at the heart of our brand. We are looking for an experienced and highly creative Social Media Manager to lead the strategy, planning and execution of our social channels, driving engagement, brand relevance, community growth and commercial performance.

Reporting into the Head of Brand Marketing, you will own boohooMAN's social media strategy across all platforms, ensuring we remain culturally relevant, first to trends and at the forefront of social innovation.

Leading a team, you will oversee content creation, channel management, influencer integration and performance reporting, ensuring social media supports wider brand and commercial objectives.

Our ideal candidate lives and breathes social media, understands youth culture, fashion, sport and entertainment, and has a proven track record of building highly engaged communities through best-in-class social content.

This role will be based out of our Ancoats, Manchester office.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Social Media Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and own boohooMAN's social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, X, YouTube and emerging platforms.
  • Create and deliver social plans that support key brand campaigns, product launches, collaborations and cultural moments.
  • Ensure social media activity aligns with wider marketing, brand and commercial objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, engagement, follower growth and traffic to site.
  • Stay ahead of social trends, platform developments and emerging technologies, ensuring boohooMAN remains culturally relevant and competitive.

Content & Creative Leadership

  • Lead the development of social-first content that resonates with the boohooMAN customer.
  • Work closely with Creative, Brand, PR, Influencer and Marketing teams to ensure content is planned and executed effectively.
  • Oversee content calendars and ensure a consistent flow of engaging content across all platforms.
  • Provide creative direction for social content shoots, including campaign support, reactive content and behind-the-scenes activity.
  • Champion innovative content formats and storytelling approaches to maximise reach and engagement.
  • Ensure content reflects boohooMAN's tone of voice and brand identity.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, develop and motivate the social media team, creating a high-performance culture.
  • Manage workload and priorities across the team to ensure delivery against key business objectives.
  • Support coaching, development and progression opportunities for team members.
  • Foster strong collaboration across marketing and wider business functions.

Community Management & Engagement

  • Oversee community management strategy and customer engagement across social platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen audience relationships and build brand advocacy.
  • Ensure reactive opportunities are identified and executed at pace.
  • Support crisis management and escalation processes where required.

Influencer & Partnership Integration

  • Work closely with the Influencer and PR teams to maximise social impact across talent partnerships and campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities for collaborations, partnerships and social activations that drive engagement and reach.
  • Support influencer content planning to ensure it aligns with channel strategies.

Performance & Reporting

  • Own social media performance reporting and analysis across all channels.
  • Track and report on key KPIs including engagement, reach, impressions, follower growth, traffic and revenue contribution.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve future performance.
  • Conduct regular competitor and industry analysis to identify opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Work closely with Paid Social teams to maximise performance and ensure alignment between organic and paid activity.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Previous experience in social media, digital marketing or content marketing, ideally within fashion, retail or a fast-paced consumer brand.
  • Previous experience managing and developing a social media team.
  • Strong understanding of all major social platforms and platform best practice.
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful social media strategies.
  • Excellent knowledge of content creation, social-first storytelling and short-form video.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
  • Experience working closely with influencers, talent and external partners.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of how social media contributes to wider business objectives.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for fashion, culture and emerging trends.
