What you’ll be responsible for:

• Utilizing Microsoft Office software packages, audio, copy typing, electronic dictation system (Dict8), filing, photocopying, scanning, always maintaining confidentiality.
• Admission and discharge documentation is completed and processed on Paris by regular audit. Including relationships, local team details are accurate.
• Electronically taking minutes of the daily huddle. Attend the ward-based meetings e.g. PALs, Inpatient Community Meeting and Ward Staff Meeting and take minutes.
• Providing secretarial support cover including minutes of meetings when the Medical Secretary is not available.
• Being the back-up inputter/approver for Healthroster (electronic staff record).
• Assisting ward manager with setting up of new starters.
• Undertaking the full range of secretarial duties for the Ward Manager, operational manager and identified staff within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that confidentiality is maintained.
• Setting up activity planners, uploading of in-patient timetables onto PARIS.
• Preparation and circulation of papers for meetings taking and/or typing minutes for all meetings as required.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
