Does Apple offer massages?

Pros

Amazing, smart, ultra driven people every place you look. A sea of brilliance where the magic happens. Everyone here is hungry and wants to do great work. We all have our common mission and do what we can to accomplish that. The campus is beautiful and we are fortunate to have shuttles and busses with getting us from one building to another in addition to serving us during commute times. A few local gyms with membership that is more than affordable! We have a few medical centers for Apple employees. There is an optometry, dentist, acupuncturist and massage therapists. Apple is thoughtful about the benefits and continues to evaluate them every year to make sure that the employees are taken care of. Very very very generous with the RSUs and refreshers. I hear about numerous companies in the valley and see a big difference.

Cons

Not enough vacation time, unfortunately. :-(

Advice to Management

Tim- you are an inspiring and phenomenal leader! I'm personally thankful for the opportunities that has been granted to me here.

Does Apple offer relocation assistance?

Pros

It's easy to get an interview and subsequently hired. The job itself isn't challenging and you will find good friends. You get some good discounts and have on-site medical care. Relocation is paid.

Cons

Pay just above minimum wage, bare minimum of holidays that you have to go through a lot of bureaucracy to get approved. Making it as difficult as possible to give feedback but when you do state "thanks for your feedback" and do nothing about it. You will only get promoted and/or recognised if management likes you. If not, you could invent the next iPhone and you'll never get anywhere. Often dirty and smelly facilities. A lack of innovation and a tendency to do things over and over again without implementing feedback that has been given by hundreds of people for years. Poorly trained advisors due to high fluctuation trying to be "supervisors" leading to nobody really knowing what they are doing.

Advice to Management

Take feedback seriously and implement it. Pay employees better/treat them better. Clean the toilets more frequently. Have a free shuttle and canteen. Train your employees better.

Relocation is paid.

Does Apple offer parental leave?

Pros

You get to learn about fairly cutting-edge technology at a rapid pace. You’re paid better than other retail jobs. The benefits package is really good-low deductible, excellent maternity and paternity leave, many benefits I haven’t seen elsewhere.

Cons

Angry people who don’t know enough about technology to google their problem to troubleshoot or buy their product that they could’ve easily purchased online (with free shipping) come here as a last resort and are overwhelmed by the experience instead of being surprised and delighted. It is difficult to move up. You are graded on your empathy by your customers. Goodbye nights, weekends, and holidays forever. Lack of management-level diversity.

Advice to Management

If the management team is so similar that they actually wear the same shirts, you know you’re not promoting diversity at a meaningful level. Little regard for people from different backgrounds. (Non-religious, single parents, poor people.)
