Glad to know you value Arm’s culture and the environment we’ve built in Bengaluru. It’s something we’re proud of and work hard to sustain as the company grows. We recognise flexibility is important, and while some roles need people to be in specific locations to collaborate effectively, we continue to explore ways to balance that with individual needs. Your feedback helps us evolve how we work, so thank you for sharing it and for contributing to the impact we make together at Arm.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for highlighting Arm’s supportive culture—it’s something we’re very proud of! We understand that location can be a challenge for some, and we appreciate your commitment to being part of the team despite the distance.

Great learning environment with flexibility, but not without challenges

      Senior applications engineer
      Current employee
      Neihu, T'ai-pei
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

The working location are highly flexible (allow WfH). Most members in our department spend only 40% to 60% of their time in the office, with some colleagues coming in as little as 20% each week. There’s a wealth of accessible resources — even if you’re working on a specific project, you still have access to nearly all documentation and development materials. For those eager to learn, this role offers extensive learning opportunities and a high level of visibility into internal technologies.

      Cons

Working hours can be relatively long, and there are frequent urgent tasks. You need to be mentally prepared for some external teaching responsibilities. Additionally, when internal timelines cannot align with external demands, there may be emotionally charged reactions from some Taiwanese clients. A strong sense of emotional resilience is required, as issues are often not the our fault.

Your review from Neihu captures both the strengths and challenges of life at Arm very clearly. It’s encouraging to hear you value the flexibility, access to resources, and the scope to learn and gain visibility into our technologies. At the same time, we recognise that urgent demands, external pressures, and long hours can test resilience. We want to make sure people have the support they need in those moments, and your feedback will help inform how we balance ambition with sustainable delivery. Thank you for highlighting both what’s working well and where leadership can keep improving.
