Does Wolseley UK offer unlimited holiday?

Pros

Good office & customer banter

Cons

Don't pay anywhere near enough for what is expected of you. Running on very minimal staff so hard to book time off & they expect you to be ultra flexible & think they own your life.

Advice to Management

Start valuing your front line staff more with less clueless people in head office making up ridiculous campaigns which contradict each other on a month by month basis. You clearly only value your shareholders & not the well-being of your main workforce & this is why the intelligent one's are all leaving in droves.

Does Wolseley UK have a pension plan?

Pros

Resoable pay, good package with car, health care and decent pension, some good people with lots of experiance.

Cons

Business is completly run from a spreadsheet, more of an administrator than a manager.

How are the career development opportunities at Wolseley UK?

Pros

Company based training is done really well. You will have plenty of opportunities to train in various aspects of the company and gain extensive product knowledge. These trains can result in qualifications as well if you wish to pursue. As Wolseley is a large company, there is potential for advancement within the various roles.

Cons

This is a male dominate industry and working environment that struggles to accommodate women. If you are working at branch level, your time is not your own. Work life balance does not exist with many working overtime without compensation or recognition.

Advice to Management

Visit more of your branches and see how things really are.
