Interview
I submitted the application online. About a week later, I was contacted to set up a phone screen with a recruiter. I was quickly passed on to a video interview with a senior producer and about a week later I had a second video interview with a director of production. I also completed a writing prompt as the final step. The process moved quickly and I felt like I was in the loop throughout the experience.

Interview
I received an email, almost six months after sending my resume, requesting a phone interview. I spoke to a recruiter first who took notes and said she would pass it on to the head of the specific department I was interviewing to work within. (The recruiter does not know anything about your specific industry so all industry-specific jargon and examples of past successes are asked and then essentially glazed over.) I did my research prior to the interview and heard it was going to be like a personality test, which is fine and I should have passed, but I found out pretty quickly I hadn't made it past the phone interview. Considering I have extensive experience working in my industry, there is no reason I shouldn't have been selected for at least a phone interview with someone who is actually in that specific department. I may or may not have been the best person for the job, but this initial interview felt like a complete waste of my time.

Interview
I applied through LinkedIn, reaching out to not only HR folks, but hiring manager for this position. The interview process went very smoothly and consistently, each step progressing through HR to senior member of staff to two hiring managers. This was all done through video interviews, each about 40 minutes with fairly standard questions. I invested a lot of time in research (even though I have considerable experience). I performed a written assignment. The entire experience lasted 4-5 weeks.
