Motivational questions about your career in education
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ARCH Education (Hong Kong) in Sept 2023
Interview
I don't recommend interviewing at this company because the interviewer was rude (saying I was impolite and my writing skills were sub-par) during the interview.
The interview process is first to submit a writing sample (personal statement), then a face-to-face interview, then complete a timed writing test (another personal statement), then a final round Teams interview.
If my writing was not of their standards, why interview me in the first place? Should they not have known this when I submitted my first writing sample in the screening process?
The interviewer also warned me that this company is not about education for the sake of helping students learn – it is sales-driven and about making money. It’s all about meeting revenue targets. Also mentioned that during the peak season (Jul-Dec), there are times when admissions consultants need to work 15 days continuously without even one day off.
If you value work-life balance, maybe you should think clearly before interviewing here.

Question 1
All of your past roles were in the back-office. Why do you want to try a sales-driven role and why do you think you will succeed?
