I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ASDA (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) in Sept 2020
Interview
Very informal. After I’d applied online through Indeed/their website, it took 3 months to hear anything back. I got a random call from the home shopping manager and was essentially told I’d been hired, what hours could I work etc and then to bring paperwork in on a selected day. Turned up in a polo top, jeans and smart shoes, other candidates barely made any effort and all of us were still selected. Just sat in a room with the group, read over terms and conditions, filled paperwork out, had some videos to watch about health and safety, etc. had a tour of the shop floor and brief discussion about the job role itself.
group interview was a interesting experience more of an icebreaking exercise than an interview. very easy and friendly interviewers. They asked about our interested and we got to know each other
Simple process consisting of a 121 interview followed by a group induction. General questions around experience and customer service, motivations and goals etc. Looking to gain understanding of general competency for the role.
was very easy and relaxed really and didn't ask me any crazy questions and I got the job the next day but the role was hard so probably why it was so easy
