I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Akamai (San Jose, San Jose) in Jul 2018
Interview
A recruiter will contact you, then a couple of managers to look on your profile and then if you answer the questions correctly they will send you a working scenario to solve and they will ask you to go on an onsite interview where they are going to interview you again and review the use case they previously resolved
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Akamai (Bengaluru)
Interview
Was referred by a friend.
Initially I was referred for a different profile but then the recruiter recommended my profile for a Solutions Architect role.
1) Got a call from the Recruiter to check if I would be interested, my current CTC and my current profile.
2) Telephonic manager round with the hiring manager again to understand my current profile, check if I am ok to work in Night shift. He asked few basic questions on DNS and HTTP
3) I was then given topics to prepare for presentation round, the topics given to be were related to HTTP, Cookies, Session management, commands, SSL etc. I was given about 2-3 weeks to prepare for the same
4) Presentation round was onsite where a panel for 3 sat for the presentation and cross questions on what I was presenting.
5) After the presentation round I had a Puzzle round where they gave me 5 situations to resolve- This was fun.
6) After this I had a very long discussion with one of the managers where I got a chance to understand more on Akamai, current market position, future growth plans etc.
7) Another short F2F meeting with the hiring manager to check if I had any questions on the profile.
8) After this I had a telephonic HR round where they mainly wanted to know if I would be joining or not if offered a position
9) Finally they offered me a position with a proposed package which I was not happy with. I negotiated and they we agreed upon a certain package after about 2-3 weeks of wait (for approvals)
Overall I liked the interview process it was quick and their approach is very logical.

Question 1
I guess the main deciding round is the presentation round where they already give you the topics to prepare for, I got HTTP: Versions, Persistent connections, Session management, Cookies, Commands, HTTPS etc
