Allchurches Trust interview questions

I received a telephone call at 4:30pm with no prior notice in which they asked me a few questions. I answered a few then asked a couple of questions of my own and in doing so mentioned I was on maternity leave and that would have childcare commitments. The tone immediately changed and I was informed that they need someone with no commitments and flexibility to be out the house on visits 5 days a week. at 9am the next day I was informed I had not been successful. I asked for feedback and they informed me that I had submitted my application late in the process and they had already offered the job to someone else who had accepted.
