I applied through Experience.com 's Selective Liberal Arts Consortium's (SLAC) Chicago interview day. SLAC interviews are held in 3 or 4 other big cities in December. Students from the 8 or so colleges that are part of SLAC applied for interviews with multiple employers in multiple locations if they chose. Applications were due in October. Most employers responded quickly, but some took longer to let you know whether or not you got the interview. I interviewed for my first round face to face in December, and they emailed me in early January to let me know that I didn't get a second round interview.
It was a a pretty basic behavioral interview, I just wasn't prepared enough. I recommend people pick up "Job Interviews for Dummies" or a similar guide book. A lot of people are bad at interviewing, but there are good ways to make sure you perform well. I think I would have gotten a second round if I had been more prepared.
