I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate
Interview
I first put my application in online. I applied 3 times overall:
1.) The first time, I put in my application and I was sent an email about 3 weeks later saying that I hadn't been chosen.
2.) The second time, I put in my application and I was emailed to set up a phone screen. The phone screen wasn't too hard and I was given an online assessment to take. I passed it with flying colors, but I was passed up for an in person interview.
3.) The third time, I was given an in person interview with two HR representatives. Their office manager was on vacation and I'm going back next week to speak with them and shadow with a current Claims Adjuster.
An overall positive experience.

Question 1
They ask a lot about your weaknesses or decisions you would have made differently in your current position.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate (Milford, CT) in Mar 2023
Interview
Interview process was fairly quick but took them almost 3 weeks for a response if they were going to move forward with me or not. Didn’t really get a good vibe in the interview. They seemed like they already had an idea of what they were looking for, which is a Caucasian male. Guess they prefer not to have a minority female in this role.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had a difficult situation and how did you handle it
I applied online. I interviewed at Allstate (Albuquerque, NM) in May 2020
Interview
Interview process was easy and well established. I had a phone interview, followed up with a zoom interview. All in all it was a good experience even though I was not offered the job.

They use the Star Method and ask about real life experiences
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate (Nashville, TN) in Dec 2018
Interview
Shortly after filling out the online application, I was emailed to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was easy - basically a review of my resume and a couple of situational based questions. I was scheduled for a face-to-face interview for the following week. When I arrived, I was interviewed by a claims manager and an employee in the leadership development program. It became clear that they already had someone in mind for the position. I was only asked four questions - all behavioral based and relatively simple. After 25 minutes the interview was over. I received an automated email THAT NIGHT notifying me that I was not selected for the position.
