I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Alpha Automotive (Delray Beach, FL) in Jan 2019
Interview
Applied through Zip Recruiter. They contacted me the next day. Went through a brief phone interview where they asked me questions to figure out if I would pass as an individual buying am expensive car for personal use. They had me watch a video about how the process works. Basically, you try to fool the dealers into thinking you are buying a car for yourself. They pay you a commission of $1,000 plus 20% of any discount you get off of the MSRP.
The HR person called me back to talk about if I thought this was right for me. I asked the interviewer how they could make money buying cars from a dealership (at retail prices)and paying me a commission and then turning around and selling it to another buyer. It doesn't make sense to me. So they are a profitable auto broker buying their cars at retail prices and paying a commission? Something smells fishy here! I told her a wasn't comfortable. Oh and why are they identifying themselves as Lasalle Auto (not Alpha) on Ziprecruiter?

Interview
After submitting my resume online, I was contacted by the Human Resource Department for a preliminary screening and introduction to a second interview. I was initially guarded with the screening questions, however, after proceeding, found them to be extremely helpful to me in determining how qualified and suitable I would be in this position. I found their upfront and straight forward approach very professional and expeditious. I was then contacted for a second phone interview and directed to a video demonstration explaining the details of how the position functioned end to end. Again, this was a progressive approach I appreciated as compared to interviews and mismatched job attempts in past experiences. After a final office meeting, I was directed to consider if the position was suitable for my needs and lifestyle and offered the opportunity.

I applied online. I interviewed at Alpha Automotive (Delray Beach, FL) in Mar 2017
Interview
It was a 2 part interview Process an initial Interview where they asked some questions about me and what sort of cars I had driven. I didn't find the questions to prying seemed a lot like the kind of questions you would get asked when you're talking to a sales person at a car dealership. Like basic financial information, what you're driving now, and if I had access to basic office equipment at my home. Then I was contacted and asked to watch a video that breaks down the position and addresses most of the question and concerns i had about it. I wrote down the questions I still had and called back and they were all addressed by the senior purchase agent and then I was sent the background check and 1099 form to fill out and send back then when I passed we immediately went to work on putting together my first deal.
