I applied through university. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services in Mar 2022
Interview
Easy and friendly phone interview. Before phone interview, you will be required to take an assessment to determine what you know about the position. It’s not a right or wrong assessment, it’s more of a what do you think it’s the best outcome for this situation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is the difference between a TCP and an UDP connection?
The interview process started with a recruiter phone screen going over my resume and interest in cloud computing. The final interview was mainly behavioral with some light technical questions related to AWS fundamentals, networking basics, and troubleshooting scenarios. They focused heavily on communication skills, problem-solving approach, and customer-facing situations. It felt more like a conversation about how I think rather than deep technical grilling.
