      Producer/Insurance Agent Interview

      7 Aug 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Redmond, WA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at American Income Life (Redmond, WA)

      Interview

There are about 6 interviews and they try their best to move through them as quickly as possible. There is the initial phone interview where they review your resume. The second interview is another resume review/get to know you interview. Dress business professional, look your best, be friendly; they are looking people who are naturally likable and build rapport quickly. The third interview is a group interview where they tell you more about the company. Speak up, don't be shy, be confident and aggressive. The next two interviews where with direct managers. In these interviews they are doing a number of things, from getting to know you, to going more in depth into the company and pay structure, as well as determining who's charge to place you under for training. The last interview is with the office manager, who gives the final yes or know as to whether they will hire you.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

You have to pass a state exam to be a licensed insurance producer. It's the equivalent of a difficult college course and final exam, but you do it in one week.
