Interviewed for a Client Solutions role. The process involved multiple rounds, and by the third stage included a ~2-hour session with a technical test and discussion.
The job description mentioned advanced knowledge of at least one of the following: MS Office/Excel, VBA, Python, or SQL. Based on this, the role appeared to focus on general data and analytical skills rather than requiring a specific industry background.
However, the assessment focused heavily on detailed and complex reinsurance knowledge, which was not clearly communicated beforehand. The level of domain expertise expected seemed significantly higher than what was indicated in the posting, especially for candidates without an insurance background.
The technical test was quite advanced and domain-specific, making it difficult to perform well even with preparation if you are new to the field.
Additionally, the interview style during the discussion was quite intense and at times overly critical, which made the experience uncomfortable.
Overall, I would recommend candidates clarify the expected level of domain knowledge in reinsurance before proceeding in the process.
