I applied online. I interviewed at Apple in Mar 2025
Interview
I applied online and a recruiter from a team reached out to me. It was two rounds, the first with the Engineering Hiring Manager, which went really well—he was very friendly and gave me a lot of positive feedback. Despite that and my recruiter saying that they would love to move forward with my interview process, I got ghosted on the second and final round. Their excuse was: the scheduler was out of office so I couldn't get my last interview scheduled, and they moved forward with another applicant. Very unprofessional.

Question 1
Interview questions are team dependent but for the team I interviewed for:
What is something that you dread/dislike while coding?
I was told that Round 2 of the interview (technical round) did not involve LeetCode-style questions or coding at all—more so picking your brain about your technical skills and thinking.
A university recruiter reached out to me via email to request availability for an interview with the cartography team. Two weeks later, I met with the hiring manager to discuss my experience and interests.
First round was 30 minute technical discussion with hiring manager. Good experience but did not move forward. 15 minutes on my past internship experience. 15 minutes on how I would build an agent. Recruiter reached out 2 months later.
Only the behavioral round, but it was very interesting to say the least. Was asked the basic STAR questions but it turned into a very good conversation. Know your resume inside out and be prepared to talk about yourself.
