      Security Threat Interview

      2 Apr 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Jose, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Apple (San Jose, CA) in Jan 2015

      Interview

I applied online, and I was contacted by a recruiter a week later saying that based on my skills and background they want me to conduct an interview for the position that I applied, and to setup an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager called me 20 minutes later of the interview time (didn't apologizes or anything like that, because he works at Apple ;) ), and he asked me all the type of questions that you can find here in Glasdoor (an hour interview). After TWO WEEKS! I sent an email to the recruiter to see if he has any news from me, and he told me that they want me to fly to CA for an onsite interview (five hours, six interviews with seven people, which includes a lunch with the hiring manager). They pay for flight tickets, hotel, rental car, plus per diem. The interview, was a joke. The question are based on what the kid that you have in front of you know about it and it doesnt matter if it is that topic is not in your resume or in the job description (be aware that they probably don't read your resume). One of those guys was too busy with his laptop, so one of the 45 minutes interview was like 15, and the other 30 minutes I was just sitting in that room watching how this guy was chatting with somebody else (totally unprofessional). The last guy (no shoes on, and I can see half of his underwear, I swear!!!! ) told me that he got good feedbacks from the other interviewers about me, and we had a great conversation about programming and working at Apple. Three days after the interview I suppose to get an answer, but I didn't, so a week after the interview I sent an email to the recruiter (yes, once again), asking for news, and she responded saying that base on my skills and background they are not going to offer me the position. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!! The contacted me because of that!!!!!!! My advise? STAY AWAY FROM APPLE!!!! Try Google, Facebook or even Mc Donalds !
