I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Autodesk in Apr 2024
Interview
Was directed to Workday to apply where i was asked to retype all of the information provided in my resume. There was no function to export it from the resume i had attached which is indicative of poor and outdated technology and bad UX.
After 15-20 years this would take several hours so i advised to refer to the resume as thats what it is for.
I suspect these job postings and application processes are created to collect data than to hire, they are requesting way too much personal data prior to any interview and i wouldn't provide it.
Later i received a scripted email to say they wouldn't be moving forward and had difficulty removing and deleting the Workday account.
Glad i refused to enter such personal information, as it's difficult to remove it.
Recruiter screening, then management, architecture, and code interview. Interviewer very respectful about candidate time. The interview have no stages. So you need to attend all the rounfs and the recruiter will tell you the result. Overall its a pleasant experience

Interview
The Tech recruiters from the India office treat candidates like tissue papers. You can expect a call from the recruiter even at 6:30AM, just to verify if you've attended an interview at 11:30PM the previous night. But when you call them back during normal work hours (excluding lunch hours) they just won't answer nor return your call. Still further they just do not keep up to their word of rolling offer letters, be aware, please do not proceed if you've not gotten something written so you can go back to them.
I was verbally offered the role, and informed that paper work was pending. The joining was to happen in 12 days. I gave them time till it was 5 days before the discussed joining date. I called the recruiters all 5 days, they just wouldn't pick the call. Finally it was a miracle when the recruiter picked the call on the day I was supposed to join. Informed the role was closed due to reorg. 1 month of time gone to waste!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
System design questions, pretty standard and easy ones. Behavioral interview - looked like the interviewer was looking to the right, picking questions from ChatGPT, then turning to the left to note down everything your saying like you were the lecturer and he the student.
