This was back in 2020 when i had just completed my diploma in hairdressing fron a renowned institute in Mumbai. Due to lockdown , I wasnt able to apply anywhere as everything was shut but I circulated my resume to all established brands in order to start my career and get a call. Finally after the first lockdown , a recruiter from Bblunt called me . She greeted me and without even taking any interview , she told me that they were willing to employ me with Rs.10,000 salary per month provided I sign a bond of 2 years and pay security deposit of Rs.50,000. Her tone was not at all pleasant. She told me clearly that under no circumstances, they will hire me directly on floor as a stylist, so I would have to work under a senior for 2 years.
This is so shocking. Why would the candidate pay such a heavy amount and sign these bonds just in order to get job? Its illegal for any company to do so. This is the how they exploit candidates in the name of job. They show their true colors when they are financially constrained and strategise evil ways for cash flow. Do you see how insecured they are? Boycott such places.
To all aspiring hair stylist : Save yourself from such misery . Don't get emotional and sign any such bonds or pay security deposit. Work where you are respected and can grow along with the company .
