      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BMO Financial Group (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2018

      Interview

First, there was a screening process. The call I had was about 40 min long and assessed your behaviour to make sure I was a match for BMO. The person I spoke to was extremely pleasant and helpful; the call ended with them informing me that they would personally recommend me for an interview. Next, I had an interview with the Hiring Manager and a Sr. Specialist. They explained the day-to-day activity and the overall expectations that they had for the role. A few behavioural questions, and not really any technical questions which I was surprised with. However, the role I applied for was for a training program, so I believe they wanted to make sure I was a good fit and was able to be a self learner that didn't need that much direction and would do whatever it took to get the job done. In the end, it was a very laidback interview. It went for approximately 1 hr and 30 mins. I felt very confident afterwards. Entire process for the screening, interview, and offer was exactly 3 weeks from the time I applied.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1. If you believe that someone is wrong, but the other person believes they are right, how would you handle the situation? Keep in mind that the other person has been working in the field for 20 yrs. 2. If you had a problem with someone, would you prefer e-mailing them first, or just going straight to them? 3. If I gave you a textbook on Selenium and told you that I needed you to start learning it, what would you do? How would you react to that situation?
