I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at BMO Financial Group (LaSalle, ON) in Apr 2022
Interview
This had to be the most ridiculous and excessive interview process I have EVER experienced. The first interview is a 45 minute virtual interview in which you have to record yourself answering questions. If they wish to continue on with the application, you will have to sit through a 2-3 HOUR Teams interview which includes multiple ice breakers and group activities akin to your first day in high school English class. We were told we’d hear whether or not we were selected within a two week period in which I had to reach out and ask for the status of my application because no one reached out to me. (This was a theme throughout the whole process as communication on the side of the employer was subpar.) As if this process wasn’t excessive enough for an entry-level position, ANOTHER interview was required of me with a branch manager. I was not hired (which I assumed as no one reached out to me within the given time frame) and I must say this whole process was a HUGE waste of time given the position it was for.
Heed my warning: if you consider applying for any position at BMO, be prepared to organize your life around their ridiculous interview process. (And to have it all be for nothing if you’re not hired)
I applied online. I interviewed at BMO Financial Group (Toronto, ON)
Interview
I received an email from BMO inviting me to complete a video interview by BMO by a certain deadline after applying online with my resume & cover letter on BMO's career Workday website. The video interview presented questions one by one & I'd to record a response for each question. For each question, I've a max. of 3 attempts to record & answer it.

Question 1
Why are you interested in the role and a career with BMO?
Super easy, about two rounds with two people. The meetings went smoothly. In person walk ins to meet the manager helped. There isn’t much difficulty. Standard interview questions were asked as well.
