Hunted by exec search - candidate journey 10/10, referred for COO meeting - candidate journey - minus 10/10, probably why the opening's online since the beginning of 2019.
I've never, in my 10 years leading TA cross-continents, seen (or heard of) such an egregious collection of episodes displayed by a Board Member (or any Hiring Manager). Sampling: shockingly tardy (more than 15 mins late), poorly prepared (never read exec search summary; trouble in comprehending a basic LinkedIn profile timeline; changed rooms couple of times) , talked trash regarding team (mainly HR - "none of them competent..." or "keeping the lights on by myself...", but some others were "lucky to see me here... fixing everything"), lacked business basics (couldn't articulate target operating model, people plan, YoY facts & figures, or even "why you wanna hire for this one?"), and many more.
By the time exec search circled back for feedback I could share only "there's not enough money in the world" and "no, this is not something I'd recommend to anyone".
