      Consumer Behavior Modeler Interview

      14 Dec 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America in Dec 2017

      Interview

Recruiter contacted me via linkedin. After three weeks later, they set up a phone screen with me. The hiring manager took another person's resume when he started our conversation with me. He apperantly did not look at my resume at all before our conversation. Then he started threwing case studies on me right away. Given that I don't have direct bank experience and working in another analytical field for many years, whatever I answered did not satisfy him, he made very loud disappointment sigh via the phone, very unprofessional and feeling like I am his anger outlet. So be careful when you are interviewing with them. Plus, if you don't hear back from them, just let it go. It is not worthy to go through this humuliating process with them to put yourself down.

      Interview

Initially contacted by a recruiter and talking about whole process and the team, skills, and two behavior questions. Then after two and half weeks, scheduled an interview with a SVP. The interview went smooth, a case problem about email marketing, and some modeling follow up questions based on my current role. Still waiting for the feedback and follow up, and will update later.
