I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America (Thousand Oaks, CA) in Oct 2009
Interview
Applied online
Took assessment test
Phone contact (2 days after online test) with recruiter who referred me to next recruiter (both calls took less than 5 min each)
Second recruiter set up a 45 min phone interview with another recruiter
Questions:
Describe a challenge with your job and the outcome
Why tis company
This recruiter set up face-face appt with local Consumer Mkt VP who oversees, among other things, hiring for the entire region
I was referred to a bank center to interview with the manager
Typical questions - they expressed interest in hiring me but job became a bilingual position - which I am not
After waiting 3 weeks I was sent on two more interviews at the banking center (during which my recruiter was reassigned and I got a new one - this was frustrating but this new recruiter worked very hard so that I didn't fall between the cracks)
I was offered a job with one of these two centers - this offer came in 3 business days after last interview

Question 1
Tell me about an on-the-job challenge, how you dealt with it, and the outcome
Online application for this job I was not very prepared for it as it is not my main field but wanted to try to change careers and I thought it would be an opportunity to work on my communication skills
Very upfront with open ended questions. Had to do a mock phone call in front of the hiring manager and another representative. It was a little intimidating but I survived.
