Question 1
My interview questions were mostly behavioral but it can vary from team to team.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America (Charlotte, NC) in Nov 2016
Interview
Applied online, it took a few weeks to hear anything from them. Got a first round phone interview, talked to one of the team leads in Portland for 30 min. He was very open about his experience with Bank of America, really enjoyed speaking with him. Again, it took a few weeks to hear back from them after this phone screen. Got a final round "virtual" interview. Didn't get flown out anywhere but instead had 2 more 30-min phone interviews back-to-back with members from different teams. Only took a few days to hear back about the offer. Very non-technical, the only real coding question I was asked was a very basic question about for-loops during my first-round phone screen. In the final round interviews, they mostly asked me about my past experience and projects to see if I was a good fit for either of their teams.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America (College Park, MD) in Oct 2016
Interview
Got an initial interview through a college career fair. The interview was short and mainly consisted of brain teasers and 2 coding problems. I thought I had done pretty bad, but after about 3 weeks I heard back from them that I had made it to the final round. The final round consisted of two back to back phone phone interviews, which was mainly technical. I had to talk about old projects, some basic cs concepts like object-oriented programming. I was given feedback about 3 days later that the interview had gone really well, but they couldn't give me an offer right away and instead they told me to wait about 3 weeks. After three weeks, I didn't hear from them so I emailed them twice. I was told to keep waiting and then 2 weeks later, I was finally told that I hadn't been selected.
