I interviewed at the boston career forum which runs every year primarily for positions in japan. some firms like barclays however also hire for their asian offices. I was on the short list for this position, so went directly to two face to face interviews with senior members of the team, including the MD who had flown to from Singapore. I got a call after the interview inviting me to dinner that evening along with other short listed candidate (there were no others on that day for this position, but there were several other teams hiring as well). Had a very positive impression from that day. Subsequently I did not hear for 2 months, but when I did hear, they wanted to schedule phone interviews with all the team members in singapore. this happened over a week, and i got my offer within 2 days of the last interview. Overall impression of the team was very positive. they even set up some coversations for me with other people within the firm to get an idea of the firm culture, beyond the team culture.
