I applied for a Mid Test Automation Engineer role at Billease, and honestly, the experience was disappointing.
After my initial interview with HR, I was asked to complete an assessment right away. I spent my entire weekend working on it, making sure I delivered my best. But after submitting it, I noticed that the invited reviewers never even accessed my GitHub repository, which meant my work wasn’t reviewed at all.
I waited for an update, and after four days, I followed up—only to receive a rejection email saying my assessment didn’t meet the minimum requirements. That was frustrating because how could they say that when they never even checked my work?
I understand that not every applicant will get the job, but at the very least, the process should be fair. If they require candidates to put in the effort for an assessment, they should also take the time to review it properly.
Would I recommend applying here? If you’re okay with the possibility of your hard work being ignored, then sure. Otherwise, I’d think twice.
