i applied through their website. i was contacted by a recruiter for the role. although the interview seemed a bit stressed, the interview was positive and true to her word, i was scheduled to proceed to the next steps.
the second interview was supposed to be a video interview but there were technical difficulties so a general phone screen occurred instead. although the Chief human resources officer seemed positive, the energy i felt was that she really liked her new position of power of running the whole site. she made a point to keep referring to me with my first name during the entire interview in order to appear "personable."
it didnt work, if anything it caused the opposite reaction (in me).
however, it was overall positive as i was passed on to the final round with the COO.
the COO did not show for the first video interview due to technical difficulties. we rescheduled (again). during the rescheduling even more difficulties arouse with meeting links etc. which really to me was beginning to demonstrate a lower level of organizational incompetence. on the final "video" interview the CHRO (chief human resources officer) was on the call and finally seeing her, i can tell you the energy between us was strained.
body language is everything.
she was supposed to leave the call when the COO arrived, but she did not. another red flag.
the COO couldnt get his video to work either and at this particular point i was beginning to really question this company. his questions were very specific, bordering on "free consulting." which calls into question business ethics.
i believe all was going well until the very end, when i purposefully stated " ...ive interviewed with several companies, and from the onset, all i felt was CONFUSION, not a good thing..."
i have never received a rejection email so fast. it was within hours of the call!
so what does that tell you about the current culture at this "organization? "
