You apply and then you immediately have to do the hirevue, which consists of 3 questions with little preparation time and no retake. The questions are not too complicated and a mix of personal and technical

Question 1
- Tell me about a recent piece of news or article that made you excited to apply for this role and/or program at BlackRock.
- Describe a time when you had to make a data-driven decision.
- What steps do you take to stay up to date with market trends and developments? How do you incorporate these actions into your daily routine?
Surprising questions that are quite different from other interviews. I don't know if that was just my personal experience. It was a HireVue and some questions caught me off guard. Overall the experience was pretty standard though.
The HireVue lasts around 30 minutes. There's 2-3 minutes to prep for each question. The process is smooth, just as any other big corporate company's video assessment. There is an introduction before you start to remind you of the guidelines and the company's values.
