I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at BlackRock in Jan 2016
Interview
Interviewed with the Financial Markets Advisory Group, applied through college career website and then on campus interview with alumni. Asked a lot of market based questions and one question would lead to another and then deep down to test your macroeconomics/finance knowledge. Pretty hard to connect with the interviewer as there was just no behaviorals
HireVue then 3 part superday. All interviews were a mix of technical and behavioral but mostly behavioral and market-based. Interviews were over a 4 hour period and with employees from different offices
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about your internship experience and why it sets you up for this role
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at BlackRock (New York, NY) in Jun 2026
Interview
The Hirevue questions were all behavioral, no tell me about yourself or why blackrock. Questions were pretty simple. Prepare a financial news story you are following because they will ask you that.
Hireview is preparation and then one time recording, which is from memory 3 minutes long. There was only 3 questions for me and most of it related to the role instead of purely just asking why blackrock or why this role.
