      Scientist Interview

      11 Feb 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Cambridge, MA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Brammer Bio (Cambridge, MA) in Feb 2019

      Interview

Applied online. Did a HR screen over the phone - typical dig into background. HR followed up next week and scheduled an in person interview consisting of 3-4 sessions with 2 people at a time. The experience left a bad impression of Brammer that was in line with all of the written reviews. Every single person was late to the interview and left early/mid-sentence b/c they had to be elsewhere. 2 interviewers were more less completely disinterested and mentally drained. 2 other interviewers were slightly aggressive in regards to my ability to do the job, though they were at least engaged. Collectively, not sure how any of the interviewers work together on the same team; their personalities were wildly different. Leading me to believe that Brammer does not hire for culture or "fit". Typically in my experience, a company makes an effort to showcase their benefits/culture/pros to candidates - didn't see any of this.

      Scientist Interview

      29 Sept 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at Brammer Bio

      Interview

I recently spoke to some representatives from this company at a career fair. I introduced myself and a woman who didn't speak a word to me grabbed my resume out of my hands and stepped to the side. The girl I had introduced myself to quickly dismissed me with "we aren't offering internships." even though I was looking for a full time position. Once I told her that, she said "You can apply online whenever" without telling me about what opportunities would be available for someone with my background. I proceeded to carry the conversation and was learning very little about the company in the process. Meanwhile, the woman who took my resume was pointing out things on it to the person beside her, whispered something, and proceeded to laugh. All of which happened in my direct line of sight. Brammer Bio should really reconsider who they choose to represent their company. If you don't plan on actually trying to recruit during a recruiting event, why would you even show up? I've never had such a horridly unprofessional experience in my life. I would have reached out to their HR department directly, but they don't have contact information listed anywhere.

They didn't ask me anything. That was one of the many problems.
