I interviewed at Break the Code (Mumbai) for a Junior Graphic Designer role, and the entire experience felt frustrating and complete waste of time. While CapCut was mentioned, the job description heavily emphasizes Adobe tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects. However, in the final round it became clear that CapCut and Premiere Pro is a primary tool in their workflow. This is not communicated clearly upfront and creates completely different expectations.
The interview process is poorly managed. There were 3 rounds stretched over nearly 3 hours, with long waiting times in between. Candidates were made to sit in a room with no ventilation and no AC, even though the office has air conditioning. People were visibly uncomfortable and sweating. It felt careless and unprofessional.
The final round interaction was equally disappointing.
The most concerning part is the compensation. They were offering ₹8,000 internship roles even to candidates who already have some experience. This is such low pay, especially in Mumbai, is not reasonable.
Overall, between the unclear expectations, poor interview conditions, and the process reflects a lack of professionalism and respect for candidates’ time. I would strongly advise others to think twice before applying.
