I applied online. I interviewed at BridgeBio in May 2026

      Interview

It's unfortunate to read the reviews and see other people had the same experience interviewing, and the company either doesn't care or doesn't bother to look into its recruiting. The person I spoke with was rude, and the interview was bizarre. First of all, he showed up 20 minutes late to a 30 minute phone screen, so then told me we had to reschedule, leading me to have to take an interview the next day at 5:45pm on a Friday. On the 2nd occasion, the recruiter oddly talked about himself and his background, and the moved to the company, and then began grilling me (in an initial phone screen!!!), which lasted the rest of the conversation. In what I thought was a phone screen to hopefully confirm some things on both sides, I was getting grilled about the company, its drug pipeline, and then given a full blown case question for a job I didn't even get to ask questions about. The recruiter clearly didn't understand the job and couldn't answer any of my follow up questions but grilled me for bizarrely specific examples and proof of work I'd done -- even though he had no way to even understand my answers. After already having described my career experience, he asked me, "what is it that you've been up to the past few years?" ...almost like he hadn't listened to the conversation. And then, at the 30 minute mark, he told me he had to go. Given that he was running the entire interview, he left me no time for basic questions -- who does this role report to? is this an entirely new function? who in leadership is the primary sponsor of this work? The company has an AI note-taker, so to them, I'd say, look at how your "VP of recruiting" is operating and talking to people. That kind of interview is not going to attract genuinely curious and diverse talent, rather, people who just give simple, confident answers with no substance and feign confidence. It's a red flag either way -- that the company doesn't care that a recruiter acts this way, or that they trust him to be a filter. Either way, glad for the early warning signal that this isn't a goo fit.
