Interviewers are very friendly. I was asked for several questions including a question on 'why you apply for this role' and three questions that are competency-based. The hardest part is the competency questions which require you to explain in detail the process of your previous work examples.

Question 1
Describe a time when you need to manage multiple tasks.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at British Embassy Beijing (Beijing, Beijing) in Apr 2020
Interview
Approx 1 month before being contacted for interview. Very professional interviewers, asked good questions, listened carefully and took thorough notes. Interview is done via Teams due to pandemic. It was mainly the service centre in Manila who acted as liaison point until the hiring manager reaches out and provided the link. If any questions before the interview, it's better to get in touch with the hiring manager directly.

Question 1
Partnership, decision making, delivery at pace etc.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at British Embassy Beijing (Beijing, Beijing) in Sept 2017
Interview
The interview was quite easy and straight forward, it was a panel of 3 staff including the hiring manager and someone who have a higher grade to the job offered.
The panel will stick to 5 fixed open questions which was already listed during the online application.
My advice is to elaborate your past achievement which is relevant to the job and justify your written statement (what you wrote down during the online application) by telling them details of your work experience.
