I applied online. I interviewed at Carbon (Burbank, CA) (Burbank, CA) in Jun 2019
Interview
They had a crime documentary playing in the reception area. I walked into an unlit room for the interview. Shades were open, so natural lighting beamed in -- but still, the room lights were off and that was, in retrospect, very weird and off-putting. There was a lady sitting in the couch behind me listening in to the interview. I looked at their website prior and it tries to present itself as a professional company, but when you really think about it, it's a bunch of mumbo jumbo with no actual depth. Th e job postings there listed under another company of the same name and had good reviews, so that was misleading. Was wondering about this company and not surprised to see the horrible reviews and scam.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Carbon (Burbank, CA)
Interview
It is a basic process where you submit your application online with resume and if selected then you will be asked some questions over the phone by an administrator at the company, like Malaya, the central admin. Then if you pass that portion you will be asked to come in person for an interview likely with Jackson, the Director of Operations, or someone from management. If you are selected to move forward from there you will next be matched up with a Team Lead for another in-person 2nd round interview. If the Team Lead "likes" you enough or at least hears enough of what they want in a "leader" during the interview you will be moved forward again to an immediate 3rd round with Jackson once more. If you do not get asked to walk back into the main office to speak to Jackson then you know you did not make it. They use the "we'll call you back" line when they are not going to hire you at all, but really just want you to leave at that point because the interview is over and they will not be selecting you, but "thanks." Once the 3rd round is done with Jackson you can leave . After this the Team Lead who interviewed you and the Director of Ops will meet to decide if they want to start you or not. Almost always at this point the decision will be a clear YES since you have made it this far and the point of this business is to constantly get new employees out there "selling."

Question 1
What wouldn't you want to work some place like Facebook or a tech company? What makes you want to do this type of work knowing it is direct selling when there are so many other options out there right now?
What part of this model is more attractive to you out of the positions I am showing you on this laminated chart of Client Rep, Team Lead, Manager, and Director of Operations? (A literal laminated chart is being shown to you during this conversation).
