I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Casechek in Oct 2025
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me with details of the position. Initially I said no to the interview process because the pay range was too low. The recruiter came back and said they could offer $10k more because they really liked the experience on my résumé. Even though the offer was below market value, I agreed to the process thinking this effort meant this could be a really good fit. I went through 2-3 rounds of conversational technical and behavioral interviews, all very enjoyable and relatively easy. I was surprisingly hit with a rejection email, and when I asked what happened, I was told I didn’t have the right experience. Felt like a complete waste of time after 1. They liked me so much based on my résumé that detailed my experience 2. Having really good interviews where I provided solid answers to their questions assessing my skills.

Question 1
Experience collaborating with product/design questions. “How would you approach this vague problem” questions. “Have you used XYZ” questions. No coding.
Thank you for your honest feedback. I am sorry your interview experience fell short and felt like a poor use of your time. We never want candidates to feel that way. Your review will help us strengthen our process, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it.
Very disappointing process. I was contacted by a Casechek recruiter via email and an interview was scheduled for a specific day and time. The interviewer was a no call/no show. No response after repeated attempts to reconnect via phone and email. Employee ratings on Glassdoor are high but the interview process at Casechek appears to be broken.

Wish that I would have had the opportunity to have a conversation
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Casechek in Oct 2022
Interview
A few zoom meetings with relevant stakeholders, followed by a take home technical challenge, and a final group interview. Everyone was very nice, the challenge was fine, and the product was interesting. The issue I have is that when they heard my (very reasonable) salary expectations they ghosted. It feels disrespectful to go through the entire process and be treated that way, a simple thanks but no would have been fine. In addition companies should be transparent and upfront with the salary band, especially when it is below industry standard.
