      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Charles Schwab (Westlake, TX)

      Interview

Applied online. Got an email within two days for a phone interview. Immediately after finishing the phone interview, I was asked to do an in person interview, which will be about one week out. For entry level positions, they do hiring events. You do an individual interview for 45 minutes, a tour of the facility, and you watch a presentation followed by a Q&A session. If you get through the that, you’ll get a call and an email two or three days later. From there, you’ll apply to the background check and drug screen (your choice of Quest or LabCorp). Once you do the drug test and submit your final paperwork for the background check, it’ll take 10-12 business days to hear back.

      Interview questions [3]

      Question 1

Instead of an interview question, here’s some solid advice - BE AS ENGAGED AS POSSIBLE. They want people who are eager to get that job, and truly care about how the customer feels. Be sure to ask tons of questions. Listen to what they’re saying, but be sure to be thinking about what your next question may be. They want to see you digging.

      Question 2

Name one time when you had to deal with an irate customer? How did you deal with it?

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Charles Schwab (Westlake, TX) in Aug 2017

      Interview

First applied online and received a phone screening interview the next day. The phone screening was standard (about 30 minutes) and the person I spoke to was genuine and friendly. There were a few scenario questions and "tell me about your experience..." type of questions. Nothing too complicated. I was immediately invited to have an in person interview at the company campus the following day. Although it was short notice, the interview went well and everyone I met there (including the others being interviewed) were kind and enthusiastic without sacrificing authenticity. The whole thing lasted about 3 hours. The first hour I was in an interview by two hiring leaders. I was asked about 12-15 STAR type of questions with nothing incredibly difficult and nothing that caught me off guard. The next hour and a half I was given a tour (along with anyone else who was being interviewed) of the offices, job details, and thorough information about the company history. I was contacted a few days later saying that I was a finalist for the job contingent on my background check/drug screen clearing. The background check is thorough and looks at credit history, financial criminal history, etc. After 2-3 weeks of anticipation I was offered a job!

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Charles Schwab (Westlake, TX) in Jun 2017

      Interview

There was a 30 minute phone interview with a recruiter. The recruiter asked a couple of behavioral based questions and we also went over my resume. We then scheduled an 3 hour onsite visit which consist of a behavioral based interview with two managers, a tour of the offer and presentation about the company. During the interview the managers took turns asking behavioral based questions ( STAR method) and went over my resume again. The overall interview process was very thorough and informative. Tip: Make sure to research the company and have specific examples demonstrating your problem solving and customer service experience.
