I had a screening call, then was informed that I'd progressed to an interview with the hiring manager and the person whose role I'd be covering. They were pushed for time, so I had to complete a couple of tasks before the interview. I ended up spending the morning on the tasks and then had the interview in the afternoon.
The interview with the hiring manager and role holder was only 30 minutes, and it felt a bit awkward. I wasn't put at ease at all, and it just didn't seem like enough time to sufficiently dig into my transferable skills and experience.
Then silence. I followed up a week later with the recruiter about feedback/result from the interview. Heard nothing. Followed up again a few days later. Nothing. Followed up a final time to the recruiter, hiring manager and role holder - again, nothing.
I think it's incredibly poor behaviour to subject somebody to two interviews and two tasks and fail to show the slightest bit of decency required to inform them of an outcome. I had to put a lot of time and effort into preparing for the interviews and the tasks, and received absolutely zero response.
