I applied for the job through my university’s job board and I heard back from the company about 1 month later. The whole interview process was made up of two phone calls, an online coding test, a small take-home assignment and an in-person interview. There was an initial call which consisted of a short chat confirming that I was still looking for a job and that I was still interested in this position. I was then asked to do an online coding test. I was given a total of 1 hour to answer a variety of questions, some of which were multiple choice and others were code snippets. The overall difficulty of the questions was fair however each question had its own time limit which was sometimes very short. After about 1 week, there was a second phone call that lasted 25 minutes. The conversation was professional yet friendly. At this point, there was no confirmation yet whether there would be an in-person interview. The phone call ended with the assignment of a small take-home assignment which was to send in 5 things that I would suggest to improve upon on the company website. I agreed to submit my assignment by the next day, and did so before the deadline. A few days later, I received an invitation for an in-person interview. During the in-person interview, I met and spoke with the marketing team at Clear Spider. I got the impression that working there would be a nice balance of fun and hard work. I felt very welcomed and comfortable during the interview, I could tell that this was a friendly and encouraging work environment. Immediately after the interview I was offered the position. The whole application and interview process took about one and a half months. I am glad in the whole process took as long as it did. The managers there really took the time to look through all of my work as well as get to know my own personal and career goals and made sure the job was a good fit for me, the team, and the organization as well.
