Question 1
Q: how do you debug in multi-threaded environment.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Clever Devices (New York, NY) in Jun 2021
Interview
I usually don't write reviews for the interviews but after this one I had to.
Was contacted by a recruiter who set up the initial interviews.
Phone Screen with Development Manager - 30 mins
Basic OOP questions, Multi Threading, interface vs abstract class, etc. Same questions everyone else got going back a few years.
Virtual Onsite - 4 Rounds 45 mins each, spread out over a few days.
1st Software Engineer - Again basic java OOP questions, literally the same questions from the phone screen but took it a bit further. Again, super easy.
2nd Team Lead - He definitely seemed like he didn't want to be there. Asked some questions on Threading and code reviews.
And that was it. They canceled the next two interviews stating my technical skills were not good. I'm 100% sure this is due to the Team Lead I interviewed with as they canceled after that interview.
I'm unsure how they could gauge anyone's skill set based off of the very few questions they asked but it seems like it's common with this company.
The interview reviews here are pretty much spot on. If you have nothing better to do, go ahead and give it a shot, the interviews are easy enough and they don't take much time.

Question 1
Abstract Class vs Interface, Multi Threading, Code Reviews, very basic OOP questions
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Clever Devices
Interview
Looks like the company doesn't respect candidates nor cares about their time. First of all the HR person called 45 minutes late. After providing the specific time I will NOT be available I still got the call in that same time frame.
They also asked to solve couple basic problems on hackerrank and asked to do it in a next few days like it was very urgent. However they didn't reply with any kind of feedback in a week after submitting the tasks. Seems it wasn't that urgent after all.
Not that much of a respect to the candidates, which gives insight into overall company's culture.
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear your experience during the interview process was not pleasant. We have the utmost respect for our candidates time, and do have processes in place to ensure a timely and informative interview experience. It is obvious that in your case we failed to live up to our own high standards, and for that we apologize. I invite you to contact Clever Devices and speak to anyone in the HR area if you wish to get specific feedback on why you were not contacted after the coding exercise.
