      Recruiting Coordinator Interview

      17 Jun 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Clover Health (New York, NY) in Jun 2022

      Interview

Pretty bad. The interviewer who had just been promoted to a recruiter was very bad at lying about the job, stating that it could turn into full time and don’t worry much about it being “contract.” I wish I would have read more about the company reviews from employees who said this org literally fires people for no reason. The interview was not good to the point where I did not even bother to send the interviewer a thank you note because it was definitely a waste of time.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Clover Health in Jun 2022

      Interview

Interview process was extremely long for an entry level position, you’d have to meet 7 different people that could last up to 45 minutes each. This could be worrisome to some people especially to those who are already working a full time job and not even sure if you’re going to receive an offer at the end of this. But I think what frustrated me the most about the entire process was meeting all of the required interview people, and then having the current recruiting coordinator reach out to you to let you know there’s a lot of “transitioning” going on with the team but then saying they want to keep you warm. I am no one’s second choice, and I work in HR so I know what it means to keep a candidate warm, I would’ve been fine with a rejection email in all honesty. Just words of advice: if you’re being promoted to a recruiter at least learn how to be honest and let the candidate know where they are in the process instead of ghosting them when they send a follow up email. That was the tip of the iceberg for me, and I’m glad I chose not to work for this company because I would never work for a company who boasts about providing a great candidate experience because I’ve received anything but that. Good luck to whoever they bring on board!

      Recruiting Coordinator Interview

      18 Aug 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Clover Health (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

I applied online through their career site. I was emailed to set up a phone interview with a recruiter, but the recruiter failed to call me at our scheduled time. A month later the recruiter emailed me to apologize and rescheduled a phone interview. I realized now that I should have ignored the email because I ended up wasting my time. After my phone interview, I was scheduled for an in-person interview. It shouldn't have surprised me that it ended up being rescheduled twice. Once I had my in-person interview, it was one of the worst experiences ever. I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes until someone finally took me to the meeting room. I was told I would be meeting eight different people two at a time. None of the people showed up on time and at one moment I was in the room waiting for another 15 minutes before someone realized I was still in the room waiting for someone else to come in. When one of the recruiters was exiting the room and thought I wasn't looking gave the next interviewer a face as if she didn't like me and mouthed good luck. I was completely put off by the recruiting team's professionalism

      Question 1

If a hiring manager gave you 300 applicants that they wanted you to schedule them all in two weeks, how would you handle this situation when the hiring manager had a busy schedule that couldn't be adjusted?
