The interview process was, frankly, a waste of my time. I went through five rounds of interviews over the course of a month — two virtual and three in person — rearranging my schedule each time to accommodate the company.
The process included:
• A virtual meet-and-greet
• An in-person interview with the lead trainer
• A practical where I trained the Head of Human Performance Specialists and received only positive feedback
• An audition with the new Pilates director (who originally recruited me through Instagram)
• A final virtual HR interview
After all of that, I received a generic rejection email stating they were “passing and moving forward with other candidates.”
Regardless of the outcome, candidates deserve professionalism, transparency, and basic respect after investing that much time and energy into a process. Looking back, there were red flags early on — including unprofessional behavior during the first interview — so I’m choosing to see this as a bullet dodged.
