      Office Administrator Interview

      9 Oct 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Palo Alto, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DLA Piper (Palo Alto, CA)

      Interview

The interviewing process appears to be lazy and disconnected from the human element. The firm states on its website that "We strive to be the leading global business law firm by delivering quality and value to our clients. We achieve this through practical and innovative legal solutions that help our clients succeed. We deliver consistent services across our platform of practices and sectors in all matters we undertake." But they don't strive to achieve the same goals in their recruitment process or their recruitment team. I was interviewed by video, then with two people from the firm and then, nothing. No follow up at all. When I followed up with the recruitment team, no response. I sent another email to ask if I was still under consideration for the position and was told "you are still being considered for the position" but for the most part don't call us we will call you.

      Office Administrator Interview

      29 Dec 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at DLA Piper in May 2017

      Interview

Lots of interviews - phone, Skype, and video. And then nothing. I spoke to them once or twice a week for several weeks, and then they vanished. They were hacked and all of their technology went offline, including phones, so I waited and understood. But they never contacted me thereafter. Completely ghosted. It was unprofessional, and I was unimpressed. It was surprising, because the process up until that point was very prescribed.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

We largely had discussions about my experience and history, my reasons for wanting to make a move, and the things I'd likely find different between their model and the ones I have worked in previously. I had several interviews with different people, so many of the conversations were repeated.
