I applied online. I interviewed at DealRoom (Boston, MA) in Apr 2026
Interview
I interviewed in person for the Solutions Delivery Specialist role, and the experience left me feeling genuinely uncomfortable.
This was not just about not being selected. Companies can move forward with whoever they want. What bothered me was that the in-person interaction felt unusually dismissive and personal in a way that did not feel connected to my qualifications or ability to do the role. I left the interview feeling judged rather than fairly evaluated.
After that, I followed up and received no response, no status update, and no rejection. The role later appeared to be reposted. Seeing the position reopened after an in-person interview and still receiving no communication made the whole process feel even more dismissive and unfair. They only had a small pool of applicants in the first place.
The experience felt cold, unprofessional, and pointed. Based on my experience, I would caution other applicants to be careful about investing time in this process unless expectations around evaluation, next steps, and follow-up are made very clear upfront.

Question 1
Q: Tell me about your background and why you’re interested in the role.
I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DealRoom (Budapest) in Jan 2022
Interview
The interview process was very well organized, smooth and engaging. The initial step involved a comprehensive session with the Human Resources department, where they thoroughly explained the company culture, expectations, and role specifics. They then screened my experiences, skills, and motivation for the role, creating an open dialogue that allowed me to better understand the company’s needs and to clearly articulate my capabilities. The second step was an in-depth conversation with the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This stage was primarily about my strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and how I would handle hypothetical product-related scenarios. The COO provided real-life challenges the company has faced, inviting me to share my strategies for resolution. I found this approach effective, as it focused not only on my technical knowledge as a product manager but also on my ability to align my solutions with the company's strategic direction. The entire process was actually quite enjoyable, enlightening, and very good in giving a holistic view of the job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Can you describe your most significant professional accomplishment to date and what key skills or experiences did you leverage for it? 2. How do you handle pressure or stressful situations in the workplace, especially when dealing with tight deadlines or unexpected issues? 3. Can you share an example of a challenge you faced in a team setting and how you overcame it? 4. As a Product Manager, how do you prioritize features or projects when dealing with conflicting demands from stakeholders? 5. Can you share an instance where you made a pivotal decision about a product you managed based on customer feedback or data analytics, and what was the outcome?
The interviewer was nice but I was asked what country I was from which felt very inappropriate. As a POC, I've never been asked about my ethnic background in an interview so I found it quite off-putting.
