I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in Apr 2015

      Interview

Before you get there, eat a good breakfast and follow all directions given. Print out a hard copy of your app, type your name on the badge using your computer, cut it out and bring it with you. Don't forget your 2 forms of ID. Nothing looks more unprofessional than being unable to follow directions before you arrive. Delta is the epitome of class, so make sure you bring your a game. Dress in business attire, minimal jewelry and makeup. When you get to the gate, be ready with your temp badge and a form of ID. If it's raining, bring an umbrella as it's a bit of a walk, and you don't want to enter looking like a drowned rat. You will mingle for a while. Smile, chat and don't sit by yourself, as I'm sure they're watching. They hand you a clear plastic envelope. Put your pp in, picture facing out, app goes in next, other form of ID next, picture facing out. Don't bring your portfolio in, as they recommend you don't, and you can't take notes. When you get in, they will split you into groups-a,b and c. Pay attention to where your group goes. Fireside chat, reach and fit, etc. Listen well, don't interrupt, and don't try to be funny as they don't seem to appreciate that. The f2f is the easiest part. Think before you speak, and don't be vague with your responses. Give them EXACTLY what they ask you for. When you enter the room that tells you about the company, stand on the star when you introduce yourself, smile, and speak loud and clear. They need to know you're comfy speaking in front of others. Know the meaning of STAR-situation, task, action, result. Keep STAR in mind when you are asked interview questions. I'm not sure exactly what their criteria is, but it did seem that ex military, and Delta employees seem to be chosen first. Do not lie on the background check. If you omit something, they will find out, and it will be perceived as being deceitful if you leave something off, right down to a speeding ticket. Just to mention, they are big on recycling, so don't forget to use their recycling bins. At the end, they will rattle off a list of names. These are the ones being hired on the spot, the rest will board the loser bus. A wonderful woman named Becky will board to tell you not to be discouraged, to try again. They will also tell you before you leave that you still have a chance to be picked, and to check your email and spam folder in the next 7-10 days, but don't get your hopes up. If you're on the bus, you most likely will not be hired, but they do send you a lovely turn down letter. :)

I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.
