Diagonal View interview questions

I applied online and after a couple of days they invited me in for an interview. The interview went well and everyone was very friendly. However, I never heard back from them after this. Of course, I understood that I didn't get the job but I still sent a couple of emails to confirm their decision, as I thought I deserved an answe to my application, only to be ignored. I understand that recruiters can't reply to every application they receive but I find it extremely disrespectful that they would stop the communication after they asked me in for an interview, for which I had to take time off work.
