Interview
Mashea, the CEO, is very transparent and authentic which was refreshing for me. I enjoyed meeting her and the rest of the team. I could tell that DPA was a special place -- lots of amazing things happening
The process was a standard interview process although many members of the leadership team were out when I interviewed so it was difficult to speak with other administrators. Additionally, the CEO was not on-site at the location I was asked to arrive at so I had to go to the other campus to meet with her.

Interview
I had an interview with Kate for about 30 minutes. Whilst she was cordial and friendly, she also left me with an empty promise. After a couple of weeks, I followed up and asked about my status. I was reassured that they wanted to move to the next step. I was supposed to give a mock lesson, using the materials that they WOULD provide me with. I emailed them a few times, asking when I should expect the teaching material and the response the first time "Oh, we of course are still interested and I will get the materials to you soon." Soon? Soon? Soon, turned into two weeks. After the two-week mark, I followed-up again, indicating (and politely) that I am still interested and if there was any chance that I missed an email, somehow. Straight away, I get an email my a very deep apology and that the materials will be sent to me by end of the afternoon. Did the materials arrive? Nope. Not. A. Word. Zero. Goose-egg. DPA ghosted me.
During these challenging times, they could at least do the courtesy and tell me that I was not the right fit. What really is upsetting is that they are "all about equity and equality." Really?! To me, it is a bunch of window dressing for corporate interest that back and fund these charter schools. At the end of the day, the school could care less about America's future. It is all in purse.
