I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DraftKings in Oct 2021
Interview
Online assessment, followed by a 1hr technical interview about solving a coding problem, followed by a 1hr technical deep dive + 1hr object-oriented design exercise. All interviews went smoothly, except for the object-oriented design one, where the interviewer kept saying that "there's no right answer" despite clearly fishing for a specific, predetermined solution and rejecting anything outside of that.

Question 1
Create an object-oriented design for a restaurant.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DraftKings in Oct 2021
Interview
60 min Hackerrank challenge. Technical Zoom interview was scheduled next. Talent acquisition associate said I should demo a product to prepare, but didn't provide me with credits until a day after the interview. My interview was with a different engineer than who was named on the initial invite. He was unclear, contradictory, and I was not aware that he was evaluating design/conventions over correctness until it was too late. All correspondence with DraftKings was inpersonal and unprofessional.
Also, I was only told after this interview that new grads aren't given any say in what technology they'll be using. He even told me that, as a new grad hire, he was promised one team and given another on day 1. Not sure why he felt the need to divulge this.

Question 1
If you were to prepare this code for production, how would you change it?
Thank you for taking the time to interview at DraftKings and for sharing your feedback. It seems like your experience with our Talent Acquisition team wasn’t in line with the experience we strive to provide to all our candidates. We’d like to follow up with your interview team to ensure we mitigate any experiences like this in the future so I encourage you to reach out to me directly to share additional details. Thank you!

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DraftKings (Boston, MA) in Sept 2019
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me through the Grace Hopper resume database to schedule an initial phone screen to ask questions about my experience and interest in DraftKings. A week later I had a video call with a software engineer which was a pretty standard technical interview on data structures and algorithms, where you were given existing classes and asked to implement and optimize a certain functionality. A week later I interviewed onsite, where I had two interviews - one about my experience and projects in school or previous internships, and another on object oriented design where you're given a list of desired functionality and asked to determine what classes/methods/etc you'd need and to implement them.

Question 1
I don't remember the specifics, but in general the questions were pretty standard and not designed to trick you, just to gauge your knowledge
